December exhibit at 2424 Studios

I have a solo exhibit through the month of December 2009 in the lobby of 2424 Studios, Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood’s newest work community. 2424 Studios is located at 2424 East York St.,at the cross roads of York & Gaul Streets. The exhibit features work from the last few years. There will be a First Friday reception from 6-10 pm on Friday December 4th 2009 at 2424 Studios.

Solo show at Mazag Café, Philadelphia PA

I have a solo show of recent paintings running through the month of September at Mazag Café. The show includes abstractions and still life. Mazag Café is a great Mediterranean-style coffeeshop located at 1001 S. 10th St. (at the corner of 10th St. and Carpenter St.) in Philadelphia, PA.

The Café’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm. Please call 215-925-1842 for more information.

There will be a wine and cheese reception for this show on Saturday September 19th 2009 from 6 to 8 pm.

7th annual Bike Part Art Show, Philadelphia PA

I will also be displaying sculptural work at the the 7th annual Bike Part Art Show which will will feature a silent auction & cash-and-carry craft boutique.

At the intersection of art, cycling, recycling, goodwill, and party, Neighborhood Bike Works’s annual silent art auction and craft boutique features fun and functional work inspired by and made from bikes. The show celebrates the growing momentum of bicycling in Philadelphia with live music, food, drink, a raffle (including a Fuji track bike), and by giving all the proceeds to run the free youth cycling programs at Bike Works in Philadelphia. A preview of the show is currently on display.

The 7th annual Bike Part Art Show will be held September 18th, 2009, from 7-10 pm (auction closes at 9:45); at Studio 34 Yoga | Healing | Arts located at 4522 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia PA.
There will be a $5 suggested donation at the door

3rd Art & Craft Show at the B2 Café, Philadelphia PA

Lastly, I will also be participating in the 3rd Art & Craft Show at the B2 Café in Philadelphia, PA
The Show will feature 20 different vendors selling various types of hand crafted local artwork, prints, jewelry and more. I myself will be showing paintings as well as special high quality art prints and postcards, among other items.

The 3rd Art & Craft Show at the B2 Cafe will be held on Sep, 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Rain date: Sun Sep. 27th) . The B2 Café is located at 1500 Passyunk Ave. (at the corner of Passyunk Ave. and Dickinson St.,) in Philadelphia, PA.

The Café’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm. Please call 215-925-1842 for more information.

Hidden Pictures… exhibit at the Micromuseum

Jed has artwork in the “Hidden Pictures..” exhibit at the Micromuseum in the Boerum Hills neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. The show will run from August 22 to October 24. It is a group show, the other artists are Joshua Lucas, Sarah Butcher, J. Pouwel, Audra Whitner and Joseph Farbrook.
The Micromuseum is located at 123 Smith St., Brooklyn, NY. (closest subway is Bergen Street)

There will be an opening party Saturday August 22nd from 8-11 pm.

Colors in Characters Solo Show at Essene

New solo show of paintings, “Colors in Characters” up at the cafe section of Essene now and until June 30 2009.  Essene is a great health/natural foods store located at 719 South 4th st. in historic Fabric Row, Philadelphia (that’s near the corner of 4th and Monroe St.)
There will be a “Meet the artist” reception on Friday June 26  from 6 to 8:30 pm.

Sankhya Yoga hosts solo show

Jed has a solo show of paintings, running from May 1st to June 30th 2009; the show is up at Sankhya Yoga School and Wellness Center, which is located at 1206 North 5th St., Studio C in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia PA (right near the corner of 5th St. and Girard Av.).
There will a First Friday reception taking place from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on May 1st 2009.
